James Royston
James T. Royston, Jr., originally from Panama City, Florida, is a retired Chief Master Sergeant with 30 years of distinguished service in the United States Air Force. A graduate of A. Crawford Mosley High School, Lynn Haven, Florida in 1990, he went on to play one year of NAIA soccer at Huntingdon College in Montgomery, Alabama, before
joining the Air Force in 1994.
My Story
James T. Royston, Jr., originally from Panama City, Florida, is a retired Chief Master
Sergeant with 30 years of distinguished service in the United States Air Force. A
graduate of A. Crawford Mosley High School, Lynn Haven, Florida in 1990, he went on
to play one year of NAIA soccer at Huntingdon College in Montgomery, Alabama, before
joining the Air Force in 1994. During his military career, James played on multiple club
and base teams to include playing for the All-Air Force Soccer Team for six years,
between 1996 and 2008. He also competed at the NWAC level with South Puget Sound
Community College and played for FK Pacific in the Pacific Coast Soccer League,
Division III, facing teams across the Pacific Northwest and Western Canada, including
the Vancouver Whitecaps Reserves. James’ coaching career spans various levels,
including serving as a head coach for the men's soccer programs at Spanaway Lake
High School in Washington state. He was also the assistant coach for NWAC’s, Tacoma
Community College women's championship team in 1996 and coached multiple youth
teams for Arsenal FC in Hawaii from 2010-2013 Most recently, he contributed as the
assistant coach for the Men’s All-Air Force Team during the 2022-2024 Armed Forces
Soccer Tournaments winning 2 Championships, continuing his legacy of developing and
mentoring athletes both on and off the field.
